Travel to America

Travel to America: big cities, natural parks and road trips. Our itineraries on the continent start with New York.

Our guides for travelling to America

To travel to America, we start with the city that never sleeps: our New York in 6 days itinerary takes you day by day around Manhattan, Brooklyn and their viewpoints, with a map, budget, where to stay and tips to make the most of your trip. You will find all the city’s highlights on our what to see in New York page and practical information about the country on what to see in the United States. We will be adding more American destinations soon.

Tips for travelling to the United States

Before booking your flight, check the paperwork: citizens of Visa Waiver Program countries, such as most EU countries and the UK, do not need a visa for short tourist stays, but they do need an ESTA travel authorisation, applied for online on the official US government website. Apply in good time, as it can take several days to be approved.

Healthcare in the United States is very expensive, so travelling with travel insurance with good medical cover is essential. To have data as soon as you land, the easiest option is to install an eSIM before leaving home.

Also bear in mind that sockets are type A and B (you will need an adapter), that prices are shown without tax and that the usual tip in restaurants is around 18–20%. In our New York in 6 days guide you will find the full itinerary, with neighbourhoods, viewpoints and where to stay.
